Police Activity, Thursday, October 2, 2014

7:12am - Protesters with signs on Dempsey Rd. bridge over I-270. No criminal violation.

2:30pm - Purse stolen out of a vehicle parked at Sunbury Plaza. Witness, a customer in the parking lot, saw it happen and provided a good description of the male white driver and the female white subject who actually grabbed the purse, and their vehicle. The female suspect was taken into custody early this morning and is now at the County Jail. Some of the stolen property recovered. Male subject is still at large. Investigation continues.

3:06pm - A range and refrigerator reported stolen from a vacant house on Thrasher Loop.

4:58pm - Solicitor on Schott Rd. Located and advised on Township ordinance.

6:07pm - Same solicitor as earlier now on Walnut St. Located. Thought he was out of Blendon Township. Advised further on boundaries.

6:37pm - Theft reported on Karikal Ct. Items stolen from a residence back in August.

7:28pm - 4 adult males sitting in a vehicle on Lee Rd. Identified, checked, no warrants. Advised.

11:05pm - Fight/assault at the Morse Rd. Mini-Mart. Known-party aggressor was gone. The loser of the fight was still on the scene when officers arrived. Subject refused medical treatment, refused to file a report or file charges. Intoxicated. Given a ride home by officers.

3:48am - BTPD officer observed a suspicious person driving a black Ford Focus pulling into the BP at Sunbury Plaza. Ran the plate and got a hit on an active felony arrest warrant on the subject/driver. Subject arrested without incident and transported to jail to await extradition to West Virginia on felony drug charges.

3:58am - Report of a male white subject in a tan low-rider stealing scrap material from a business on Morse rd. Gone on arrival.
