Police Activity; Tuesday October 6, 2015

7:51 am – Report of a work truck stolen from a business on Westerville Rd. overnight. GPS "pinged" and the vehicle was recovered in Columbus the same day. Ignition had been punched. Under investigation.

1:20 pm – Mailman found a book bag along a street in Huber Ridge. Turned over to BTPD, owner located & reunited with missing property.

7:42 pm Non-injury crash on the lot of Speedway (SR3 & Dempsey).

9:40 pm – Resident on Buenos Aires Blvd returned home and found a strange man sitting on his front porch. The male, subject turned out to be an entered missing person from Columbus. Transported to a care facility by BTPD.

10:06 pm – Caller reported a male, subject trying to break into a vehicle at Paris & Vienna. Turned out to be the owner trying to break in to his own locked car.

11:30 pm – Report of a suspicious unoccupied car (open trunk) at Sunbury Plaza. Area checked, not located.

Wednesday (early morning hours)

12:39 am – Report of an intoxicated male walking in the roadway on Cooper Rd. Turned out to be on the Columbus section of the road. CPD responded and took care of the subject.

5:32 am – Non-injury crash; SR3 n/o Morse Rd. Car struck a deer. In Columbus, CPD responded and handled the crash

Other; 2 open doors found, 1 false alarm, 1 traffic complaint, 2 lockouts, 1 online theft attempt.
