Police Activity Thursday February 5, 2015

7:45 am Morse Road, assist motorist who locked keys in the car, officer gained entry.

7:57 am Buenos Aires Blvd., caller reports a suspicious truck in the area.  Officer located vehicle and made contact with the occupants who were found to be working in the area for a drywall company.

9:57 am Claridon Ave., while on patrol, officer observed an unoccupied vehicle that was later found to be a stolen vehicle.  Vehicle was impounded.

3:20 pm  Area of Hoover Reservoir, with Columbus Police, Westerville and Genoa Township, attempt to locate distraught person.  Unable to locate.  Det. Phillips followed up with the original caller and verified the person was later found safe elsewhere and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

4:30 pm Morse Road,  semi truck parking complaint.  Gone prior to officer arrival.

6:34 pm Minerva Lake Road, assist motorist who locked keys in the car, officer gained entry.

6:43 pm Buenos Aires Blvd., possible stolen vehicle.  Later determined not to be stolen. All ok.

6:43 pm Paris Blvd. North, caller reports threats via social media.  Report taken.

11:50 pm Assist other agency with active foot chase after subject fled from a traffic stop.  Subject was apprehended.

12:30 am Executive Parkway, officer observed subject stealing tires from the rear of the business.  Subject was apprehended and criminally charged, stolen property recovered.

1:04 am Thrasher Loop, caller reports loud popping noise, officers circulated the area and were unable to determine cause.

3:02 am Sunbury Road, stranded motorist.  Officer attempted to jump start car battery, vehicle still would not start, AAA called.
