Weekend Police Activity; March 27-28-29, 2015

Friday (March 27)

12:30pm – Robbery attempt at Domino’s Pizza Glengary Center. Male white subject in a black hooded sweatshirt, implied that he had a gun and demanded money. Subject fled east on foot without the cash.

3:23pm – We learned today of an attempted robbery of a gas station in Blendon Twp on Westerville Road which occurred back on March 24th, (7:57pm) but the clerk never reported the attempt until today. In this robbery attempt, the clerk reported (delayed) that he saw the handle of the subject’s handgun. Some similarities to the Domino’s robbery above. Subject also fled in this case without the cash.

3:18pm – Report of a suspicious silver VW at Hoover Dam Park. Area checked, not located.

9:47pm – Report of panhandlers at Speedway (Morse & SR3). Made contact with the male & female adults. Female had a warrant for forgery. Arrested.

10:18pm – Male black subject shoplifted alcohol at a business at Sunbury Plaza and fled in a silver Ford.

Saturday (March 28)

2:09am – OVI arrest at SR161 & Buenos Aires Blvd. (male, age 34).

2:13am – Report of a car crashed off the road on SR161 east of SR3. Located in Columbus, no driver at the scene.

2:11am – I-270 & SR161 injury crash, intoxicated driver. Columbus jurisdiction. CPD made arrest and took crash report.

5:30am – Suspicious person/vehicle observed by BTPD officer on Tassel Court. Driver consented to search and illegal drugs were found during the search.

Sunday (March 29)

10:40pm – Possible prowler on Buenos Aires Blvd. Resident heard what sounded like someone moving the screen outside the bedroom window. BTPD officers checked all windows, around the house and around the area. Nothing unusual located.

Other; 4 false alarms, 6 parking complaints, 2 traffic complaints, 1 domestic violence with injury (arrest), 2 assist other agency, 1 lockout, 1 threat, 1 custody dispute, 2 domestic disputes, 1 stand-by for property.
