Weekend Police Activity; April 24-25-26, 2015


2:14pm – Unregistered solicitor on Paris Blvd. Located and advised.

9:55pm – Protesters at Speedway (Morse & SR3) protesting against the Columbus Police OVI checkpoint. Manager wanted them to leave. Group agreed to move farther down the street.


12:59am – Dog at large on Carthage Dr. Located and returned to owner on Carthage Ct.

2:38am – Disturbance in front of a liquor permit premises at Glengary Center on Westerville Rd. During an argument one male subject broke a mirror off of another male subject’s car. Neither wanted charges or a report.

4:09pm – Computer hit on a vehicle/driver with arrest warrant at SR161 & Buenos Aires Blvd. Driver (female, age 24) arrested.

4:40pm – License plates stolen out of Mississippi found on a car parked at a business on Cleveland Ave. Impounded.

10:21pm – Two suspicious males parked in front of a business on Westerville Rd. Car trouble, waiting for help.


12:06am – Medics responded to an intoxicated person at Glengary Center in front of Dominos. Tried to get him home. Subject resisted, becoming combative and destroying items. Charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Transported to jail.

2:49am – Officer found a female adult subject laying down on the pavement in the lot of Hollywood Theater at Glengary Center. Subject was intoxicated and stated she was trying to walk home from a nearby bar. Transported home and released to a responsible third party.

NOTE: Investigation initiated into possible over-serving at a local permit premises. Both incidents this morning initiated from the same bar.

9:13am – Report of two bull mastiffs running loose at Valley Quail North & Sunbury Rd. Area checked, not located.

3:31pm – Hit-skip in the parking lot at Sunbury Plaza. Driver located and charged.

5:45pm – Report of two suspicious subjects in a vehicle at Dempsey & Dahlgreen. Coupon bag delivery people getting organized.

10:28pm – Suspicious vehicle running on Mexico Ave. Dark sedan. Area checked, not located.

Monday (early morning hours)

1:16am – Panhandler at Speedway, Morse & SR3. Advised to go elsewhere.

1:34am – Intoxicated male walking in the street on SR3 north of Morse Rd. Transported home and released to a responsible third party.

Other; 4 false alarms, 1 traffic complaint, 3 lockouts, 1 parking complaint, 2 custody disputes, 2 well-being checks,  2 non-injury crashes, 1 neighbor dispute, 1 report of theft by a known person, 7 open doors found, 1 threat, 2 suicide threats, 1 violation of protection order (warrant filed).
