Weekend Police Activity; June 12-13-14, 2015


12:46pm – House sitter for vacationing residents found a suspicious person, carrying a bag, leaving the home he was watching on Manitou Drive and the residents’ car missing. BTPD officers located the stolen car approximately 2 hours later. Two male adult subjects arrested, one charged with burglary, one arrested on outstanding warrants.

4:41pm – Report of items stolen from a vehicle overnight on Hollandia Ct.

5:47pm – Assisted Newark Police in executing search and arrest warrants at a residence on Dakar Road West. Two bank robbery suspects taken into custody.


 Various times - 3 open doors found early Saturday morning hours.

3:20am – OVI arrest at Dempsey & Hempstead (female, age 26).

1:02pm – Caller reported seeing a child fall off of a bike in the area of Dempsey & I-270. Area checked, nothing found.

6-8pm – Concert in the park. Ridgewood Park.

10:41pm – Robbery alarm at Speedway (Morse & SR3). No robbery, turned out to be a domestic violence incident. Female refused to file charges for assault against the male subject. Both male and female arrested for outstanding warrants.

Other Saturday; 3 false alarms, 1 motorist assist (jump start).  


5:39am – Speedway (Morse & SR3). Report of a panhandler on the lot. Gone on arrival. Area checked, nothing found.

11:35am – Shoplifter ran from loss prevention at Sunbury Plaza. Stolen item dropped and recovered. Suspect not located.

11:40am – Non-injury crash at Dempsey & SR3.

12:54pm – Male, adult shoplifter ran from loss prevention at Sunbury Plaza. BTPD officers arrested the male subject and charged him with theft. Female adult subject, who was with the male subject, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

11:57pm – Hit-skip crash on SR161 at Buenos Aires Blvd. Suspect vehicle was a blue truck which fled toward I-270.

Other Sunday; 1 lockout, 1 false alarm

Monday (early morning hours)

12:16am – Injury crash SR161 & I-270. Car into a pole. Driver checked by medics, not transported.
