Weekend Police Activity; Friday and Saturday, 26-27 June, 2015

Friday

7:00am – Injury hit-skip crash, SR 161 and Ponderosa Dr.  Columbus Police investigating. 

2:40pm – Paris Blvd./Manila Dr.; Solicitor contacted and advised of permit policy.

2:55pm – Paris Blvd./Paris Blvd N.; 2 males soliciting for lawn maintenance advised on permit policy.

5:31pm – Cleveland Ave.; Report of a business selling drug paraphernalia.  Officers checked and were unable to locate any contraband.

5:49pm – Kilbourne Ave.; Theft of bicycle, recovered prior to police arrival.  Male suspect, age 18, located, identified and charged with Theft. 

7:22pm – Carthage Ct; Yelling heard from a residence.  No answer when officers arrived, unable to determine source.  Officers later contacted homeowners and verified they were ok.

10:00pm – Carnation Dr.; Report of male with clipboard leaving area in light blue SUV/Minivan.  Area checked, not located.

11:48pm – SR 161/Buenos Aires Blvd.; Male, age 17, arrested on outstanding warrant during traffic stop.

3:12am – Glengary Center; graffiti found on business.  Investigation pending.

Other: 1 false alarm, 1 open door, 1 fingerprint request, 1 custody exchange, 2 parking complaints, 1 found property, 1 juvenile complaint. 

 

Saturday

11:00am – Report of lost/stolen license plate.

11:14am – Hoover Dam; Male subject with machete.  Subject was clearing the overgrown disc golf course. 

2:48pm – Glengary Center; Report of juveniles damaging property at closed business.  Area checked, unable to locate.

5:08pm- Glengary Center; Another report of juveniles damaging property at closed business.  Area checked, unable to locate.  Management and ownership of business notified. 

5:38pm – Cairo Rd.; non-injury crash.

9:16pm – SR 3/Dempsey Rd.; minor injury crash. 

1:10am – Intoxicated male, age 35, arrested for Disorderly Conduct at a business in Sunbury Plaza. 

1:10am – Batavia Ct; noise complaint.  Advised homeowner and music turned down.

5:35am – Officer noticed traffic sign struck by car on Dempsey Rd.  Initiated work order to replace sign. 

Other:  2 assist other agency (traffic arrest, ongoing investigation), 2 open doors, 4 false alarms.
