Police Activity; Thursday July 16, 2015

8:26am – Non-injury crash at Executive Parkway & Sunlawn Dr.

12:51pm – Two male subjects in a white Chevy Blazer observed stealing tools from a landscaping truck at Sunbury Plaza. Arrested in the parking lot by BTPD officers. Other miscellaneous property recovered; golf clubs, tools, electronics, etc.

3pm – Report filed that the callers vehicle was ransacked overnight on Harbin Court. Nothing stolen.

7:04pm – Fisherman reported a car visible underwater at the Walnut Street Boat Ramp at Hoover Reservoir. BTPD Officers and Franklin County Sheriff’s Office dive team responded and recovered a BMW with Florida plates that was entered as stolen out of Florida.

8:57pm – Report of solicitors on Harbin Court. Area checked, not located.

11:16pm – Caller reports that a male black subject on a bicycle got into an unlocked vehicle on Goldfinch Dr. Area checked, not located. Owner said nothing was missing from the vehicle.

11:44pm – BTPD officer observed a Black Dodge Challenger on SR 161 at Buenos Aires Blvd. driving with only three wheels and sparks flying. Arrested the driver (male, age 28) for OVI and possession of marijuana. Under investigation for a possible hit-skip in another jurisdiction.

6:11am – BTPD officer located a female subject in a red Pontiac feeding feral cats along Westerville Road. Advised to stop. Info forwarded to the health department & code enforcement.

Other; 1 stalking report, 1 motorist assist (flat tire).
