Weekend Police Activity; August 28-29-30, 2015


7:30 am - Dahlgreen Dr. Resident concerned that his trash was removed from in front of his house on Thursday night. Possible scrappers.

9:46 am – Non-injury crash; SR3 & I-270.

10:56 am – Suspicious male at a business on Westerville Rd. Gone on arrival.

12:12 pm – Resident on Kilbourne Ave wanted officers to remove a live skunk he had trapped. Advised to call a commercial varmint control company.

1:53 pm – Male with a bow and arrow on the SR161 bridge over Alum Creek. Bow-fisherman.

2:59 pm – Injury crash; SR161 & Buenos Aires.

4:17p pm – Non-injury Hit-skip at SR3 n/o Morse Rd. Under investigation.

5:05 pm – Assist other agency. Columbus and Minerva Park police on the scene. Stolen U-Haul truck driving at at high speed flipped at SR161 & Maple Canyon.

Other Friday; 4 false alarms, 1 motorist assist (fuel), 1 parking complaint, 1 neighbor dispute, 1 juvenile complaint, 1 loud music complaint.


12:34 am – Mutual assault between boyfriend & girlfriend on Woodvale Court. Short foot pursuit by police. Charges pending on both parties.

Heritage Day Events; 7am-10am 5k Run/Walk at Ridgewood Park, dedication of Memorial Garden, 10am - 3pm Senior Center Car Show, 3-8pm Old Fashioned Baseball and Free Picnic and Concert in Ridgewood Park.

5:36pm – Non-injury crash, SR3 s/o Dempsey.

6:57 pm – Non-injury crash; Sunbury Plaza.

8:48 pm – Panhandler at Sunbury Plaza. Two callers reported a female white subject in a burgundy Suburban begging for money. Gone on arrival.

9:57 pm - Report of a suspicious adult male sitting on the curb on Stockholm Dr. Said he was waiting on a ride. We gave him a ride to his destination.

Other Saturday; 2 lockouts, 1 parking complaint, 1 stand-by for property, 1 false alarm, 1 business dispute, 1 neighbor dispute.


3:44 am – OVI arrest at SR161 & Far View Dr. Female driver, age 45.

9:25 am – Non-injury crash; Old Dublin-Granville Rd & SR3.

12:11 pm – Non-injury crash; Executive & Sunbury.

1:29 pm – Report of damage to stop sign at Cairo & Bangasi. Passed on to Road Department.

Other Sunday; 3 domestic disputes, 1 domestic violence, 1 open door found.

Monday (early morning hours)

2:26 am – Blendon Officer found the dome light on in a vehicle on Rosebay Ct. Owner advised. Nothing removed from vehicle.

5 am - Found Dog; Intersection of Mexico & Montevideo, Blendon Twp Officer found stray running loose. Black and white, possible Border mix. Collar with rabies tag but the dog would not let the officers read it. No tail. One brown eye, one blue eye. Unknown sex. Shaggy aggressive, scared, kept moving. Now in the custody of Franklin County Animal Control, 614.525.3647.
