Weekend Police Activity; October 7-8-9, 2016


1:06 pm – Dog at large on Paris Blvd. Dog returned home on its own. Owner contacted.

1:21 pm – Caller reported that cash was stolen out of his vehicle when it was repossessed by a used-car business on Westerville Road.

3:02 pm – Report of a blind man walking in the street on Sunbury Road. Area checked, not located.

3:10 pm – Customer tripped over speed bump at Glengary Center. Transported by medics.

4:59 pm – Report of a trash can and recycle bin taken from Bitterroot Dr.

8:38 pm – Non-injury hit-skip crash; Cooper Road.

11:36 pm – ATV on Bader Court. Rider advised to stay off the street.

11:37 pm – Report of a male subject passed out in his vehicle at Hoover Dam Park. Medical issue.

Other Friday; 2 traffic complaints, 1 identity theft, 2 juvenile complaints.


6:01 am – Caller reports that 8 juveniles walked through his yard on Panama Drive. When confronted they walked away. Area checked, not located.

2:35 pm – Verbal dispute in the parking lot at Glengary Center. Peacefully mediated.

5:20 pm – Assist Fire Department. Dryer fire on Woodvale Court. Contained.

9:32 pm – Report of fireworks in the area of Dahlgreen Drive. Adult male subject contacted. Determined to be the source of the fireworks. Advised to cease. Complied.

11 pm – Report of fireworks or shots heard near La Paz Place. Area checked, nothing found.

11:28 pm – Report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Tassel Court. Area checked, not located.

Other Saturday; 1 juvenile complaint.


1:34 am – Open door found on a vacant house in Sunbury Woods. Checked. No signs of forced entry. Re-secured.

2:50 am – Injury crash at SR161 & Buenos Aires Blvd. All 5 persons transported to hospital. At-fault driver (male, age 34), charged with OVI.

6:36 am – Suspicious male subject pounding on the door of a residence on Brazzaville Drive. Male subject was intoxicated and had a head injury. Transported to hospital by medics.

8:30 am – Injury crash; Cherrybottom Road.

11:12 am – Non-injury crash; SR3 & SR161.

2:23 pm – Property recovered. Very realistic looking Air-Soft gun found in a yard in Huber Ridge. Impounded.

4:04 pm - Assist Fire Dept. Trash can fire on Balboa Place. Grill next to trash can. Something from the grill started the fire. Contained.

5:58 pm – Underage persons asking customers to buy cigarettes for them at Speedway (Morse & SR3). Gone on arrival.

11:46 pm – Driver observed littering from a vehicle at Ridgewood Park (Park closed). Male driver (age 26) had active arrest warrants. Additionally, the driver was charged with driving under suspension and possession of marijuana. Driver arrested, vehicle impounded.
