Police Activity; Tuesday October 18, 2016

7:01 am – Injury crash; SR3 & I-270.

8:35 am – Non-injury crash; Sunbury & SR161.

8:35 am – Non-injury crash; SR161 & I-270

1:35 pm – Lost 2-year old male child wandered into a business on Morse Road. BTPD officers searched for over an hour, eventually finding a babysitter in Columbus who was out looking for the child. Referred to CPD and FCCS.

2:47 pm – Injury hit/skip crash; Executive w/o Sunbury. At-fault driver fled southbound on Sunbury Road. BTPD Officer found the suspect/vehicle hiding in a church parking lot near Sunbury & Morse Road. Female driver, age 24, arrested for OVI, possession of marijuana and leaving the scene.

4:25 pm – FCSO Deputy responding to assist BTPD on a dispatched medical issue was crashed into by another driver at Morse & Trindel Way. One BTPD assisted the Deputy. Deputy transported by Medics (precautionary). Original medical issue resolved by other BTPD officer & WFD Medics.

5:02 pm – Caller stated a suspicious person was in a vehicle at Mexico & Montevideo. Male driver, age 45, arrested for outstanding active arrest warrants.

6:15 pm – Theft of items from Speedway (Morse & SR3).

10:15 pm – Panhandler at Speedway (Morse & SR3). Advised to leave.

11:59 pm – Rollover injury crash; SR161 & I-270. At-fault driver fled on foot. Area checked, not located.

Wednesday (early morning hours)

1:25 am – Non-injury crash; Madrid Drive. Sleepy driver struck a parked car.

1:58 am – Caller stated that a black SUV with headlights off, dropped off a passenger who was carrying a bag, near Karikal & Manila. Delayed report. Area checked, not located.

5:27 am – BTPD Officer observed 3 adult male subjects in a vehicle at Ridgewood Park and made contact. One of the three, a passenger, had been previously warned about being in the park after hours. Driver, age 31, charged with carrying a concealed weapon. A hatchet and several knives were impounded, vehicle was impounded, other two passengers released.

6:11 am – BTPD Officer observed a little brown dog in the roadway on Montevideo Drive. Owner located, dog returned to its home.

Other; 1 civil dispute, 1 medical issue, 2 text threats, 1 open garage door found.
