Weekend Police Activity; October 21-22-23, 2016


9:34 am – Non-injury crash; SR161.

11:02 pm – Noise complaint; Ridgewood Park. Officer made contact with volunteers setting up for Saturday’s Halloween party. Advised to keep it down.

11:25 pm – Report of a suspicious vehicle on Harbin Court. Gone on arrival.

Other Friday; 1 lockout, 1 juvenile complaint, 3 false alarms, 1 medical issue.


1:28 am – OVI arrest; Valley Quail South & Sunlawn. Female driver, age 36.

3:01 am – Non-injury crash; SR3 & Dempsey Road. Vehicle struck a pole.

9:42 am – Report of a deer in the area of Saddle Lane Court. Area checked, not located.

4:05 pm – Lost male adult subject at Sunbury Plaza. Given a ride to a COTA bus stop.

6-8pm – Halloween Party at Ridgewood Park. Officer Whiteside and a BTPD cruiser participated in Trunk-or-Treat.

8:30 pm - Report of a suspicious vehicle on Thrasher Loop. Visiting a resident.

10:32 pm – Report of multiple vehicles in the field at Ridgewood Park. Volunteers cleaning up after Halloween Party.

10:47 pm – Complaint of a loud party on Cubbage Road. Advised to turn it down.

11:34 pm – Complaint of a panhandler at Speedway (Morse & SR3). Advised to leave.

11:58 pm - Complaint of a loud party on Cubbage Road. Not the same house as earlier. Advised to turn it down.

Other Saturday; 1 open garage door found, 1 medical issue.


1:32 am – Mutual assault; Glengary Center. Neither party wanted to file charges. Both released to sober third parties.

3:50 am – BTPD Officer observed a vehicle driving randomly through Sunbury Woods. Vehicle drove down Bluebird Court with two occupants and drove back out with one. Officer stopped the car. Driver stated he was lost. Driver had an extensive criminal record of theft but no current warrants. Valid driver’s license. No violation. BTPD Officer released the driver who drove out of the neighborhood. BTPD Officer continued to check the area and located a male, adult subject walking in the area. Adult subject (walking) had an extensive criminal record and an active felony warrant for a probation violation out of a heroin possession charge. Subject, age 22, arrested and turned over to the Licking County Sheriff’s Department.

9:03 am – Injury hit/skip crash; SR161 w/o SR3. Occurred in Columbus jurisdiction.

2:01 pm – 5 year old boy found walking at Dempsey & Hempstead. Returned to a residence in Sunbury Woods. Sister unaware he was missing. Follow up with parents.

3:26 pm – Report of damage done to a vehicle overnight on Harbin Place.

11pm – Report of screaming heard on Natalie Court. BTPD Officer made contact there with a woman who reported that a known subject had just stolen her wallet. Know person gone from the area. Under investigation.

Other Sunday; 1 motorist assist, 1 lockout, 1 threats, 1 lost dog reported (golden retriever-Harbin Court), 1 false alarm, 1 assist other agency (BAC).
