Weekend Police Activity; 26-27-28 February, 2016


11:30 am – Customer dispute at a business on Cleveland Ave. Customer gone on arrival.

2:11 pm – Report of an abandoned car on Lisbon Ct. Tagged, under investigation.

Other Friday; 1 text threats, 2 false alarms, 1 identity theft, 1 text harassment, 1 assist other agency (BAC), 1 child custody assist (FCCS).


1:54 am – SR 161 & SR3; injury crash (tree/guardrail). At fault driver fled on foot. Driver located and transported to hospital with injuries. Driver, female age 29, was arrested at the hospital and charged with OVI.

3:01 am – Employees at a bar at Glengarry Center used their vehicles to block in a customer’s car so he would not drive home drunk. Employees offered to call him a cab. Driver agreed to the cab ride and when employees let down their guard the drunk driver smashed his way out of the blockade (crashing into both of the employees’ cars in the process) and fled the scene. Under investigation.

8:15 am – Report of an abandoned van at Hoover Dam Park.

9:20 am – Non-injury crash; Sunbury & Executive.

4:15 pm – Truck reported stolen from a business on Westerville Road. Later found to be with an employee who was authorized to take the truck by a different supervisor.

Other Saturday; 1 missing person report (teenager; returned later), 1 motorist assist, 1 open garage door found.


12:31 am – Sunbury Rd s/o SR 161; traffic violator. Driver (male, age 55) arrested for OVI.

4:11 am – SR3 n/o I-270; traffic violator. Driver (male, age 49) arrested for OVI, falsification, possession of marijuana and possession drug paraphernalia. Passenger (female, age 23) arrested for felony drug possession, possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia.

1:33 pm – Complaint of a “facebook car club” blocking the roadway at Hoover Dam Park.

3:06 pm – Report of suspicious person at SR3 & I-270. Officer made contact with a female subject passing out religious material.

3:57 pm – Smothers & Manitou; Hit-skip non-injury crash. White Acura struck the caller’s vehicle and fled the scene. Under investigation.

4:25 pm – Injury crash; Central College Rd at the lower dam entrance.

8:20 pm – Report of two Huskies loose in the area of Dempsey Road. Area checked, not located.

Other Sunday; 1 medical issue.

Monday (early morning hours)

1:16 am – Sunbury & SR161; traffic violator. Driver (female, age 34) arrested for driving under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia.

3:50 am - Report of 4 male subjects removing items from a shed at Hawthorne Elementary school. Area checked, not located.
