Police Activity; Wednesday February 3, 2016

7:17 am – Vehicle lost a wheel at SR3 & I-270. Blocking, stood by for tow truck.

1:48 pm – Assist the Coroner in a death investigation; Cactus Court.

1:55 pm – Non-injury crash; SR3 & Brazzaville.

4:10 pm – Mailbox struck by an unknown vehicle on Kilbourne Ave.

6 pm – Report of a malfunctioning traffic signal at Dempsey & Cairo. Officer monitored it; found it to be working properly.

7:03 pm – Male, white subject, (thin build, tall, black hat, blue jeans, red jacket) at a business at Sunbury Plaza, stole cartons of cigarettes and fled to a red Honda. Area checked, not located.

7:23 pm – Caller drove to the Blendon Twp. Police Station. Said they were being followed by a silver pick-up truck. Driver of the silver pick-up also called to report that the other caller was a possible impaired driver. Neither driver/vehicle was at the police station when our officer arrived. Area checked, not located.

Other; 1 attempted mail scam, 1 false alarm, 1 open garage door found.

Thursday (early morning hours)

1:18 am – BTPD officer observed a suspicious, un-occupied vehicle behind a business on Cleveland Ave. Vehicle was reported stolen out of Muskingum County; recovered.

2:25 am – BTPD officer observed a suspicious, occupied vehicle at a closed business on Cleveland Ave. Three adult male subjects. One subject (male, age 51) arrested for a felony drug possession warrant out of Morrow County. Other two released, no charges.
