Weekend Police Activity; Friday-Sunday, March 4-6, 2016

FRIDAY

6:57am - SR 161/I270; non-injury crash.

8:06am - Buenos Aires/Harbin Dr.; broken down vehicle blocking a lane.  Officer conducted traffic control until a tow truck arrived.

1:28pm - Highbrook Ct.; reported theft from a vehicle that occurred on 2/26-2/27/16. 

4:59pm- SR 3/Morse Rd.; non-injury crash.

5:24pm - 6400 block of Montford Rd. East; caller reported a cat with paint on it's fur.  Officer saw the cat, which appeared to have been shot with a paintball gun. 

10:40pm - SR 3/SR 161; female in passenger seat of a vehicle at the gas station appeared slumped over.  Officers were unable to locate the vehicle on arrival. 

10:49pm - Acapulco Pl; fire and smoke inside residence.  No injuries, Westville Fire Dept.  investigating.  Appeared to be a furnace fire.

12:49am - Dead end of Walnut Rd. at Hoover Dam; officers contacted subjects in a parked vehicle and arrested a female, age 32, on outstanding warrants. 

OTHER:  1 911 hang-up, 2 unsightly vehicles (tagged), 1 false alarm, 1 vehicle lockout. 

 

SATURDAY

3:26pm - E. Dublin-Granville/SR 3; vehicle out of gas.  Help was at scene when officers arrived.

6:37pm - Spohn Dr.; caller reported a suspicious vehicle, but cancelled officers after discovering it was a neighbors car.   

11:28pm - SR 161/Sunbury Rd.; non-injury crash.

12:32am - Male appeared to be in distress at business on Sunbury Rd. and stated he witnessed a crime in Columbus Police jurisdiction.  CPD officers transported the man to further investigate. 

3:37am - SR 161/Sunbury Rd.; disabled vehicle.  Discovered to be vehicle left on roadside after the earlier crash. 

OTHER:  1 juvenile complaint, 1 911 hang-up.

 

SUNDAY

7:48am - Sunbury Plaza; male described as bi-racial, took cartons of cigarettes from behind the counter.  Investigation continues.

3:18pm - Officers filed warrants for a male age 34, out of a Domestic Violence incident on Stockholm Dr.  The man later turned himself in at the jail.

6:45pm -  3300 blk of Morse Rd.; reported theft of a stereo system from a vehicle parked at a business.  Theft occurred at about 4:30am.  Suspect vehicle is a red Nissan Quad cab pickup truck.

OTHER:  1 911 hang-up, 3 false alarms, 2 mutual aid (Westerville and Columbus Police), 1 domestic dispute.
