Police Activity; Tuesday/Wednesday 19-20 July, 2016


12:14 pm - Resident reports that someone got in her vehicle last night on Lima Dr. Nothing taken.

3:44 pm – Caller states two male subjects were in his back yard on Dempsey Road. When confronted by the resident the subjects said they were there to grind stumps. Subjects left in a blue truck. Area checked, not located.

6:43 pm - Report of a FedEx package stolen from residence on Rockingham Ct.

11:11 pm – Four subjects at the Blendon Senior Center playing Pokémon.

11:20 pm - Possible shots heard on Woodvale Court. Area checked, nothing located.

11:42 pm – Suspicious truck reported on Cairo Rd. Area checked, not located.

Other Tuesday; 1 medical issue, 1 false alarm, 4 parking complaints, 1 assist other agency (WPD).


2:22 am – Officer found an intoxicated female adult stumbling in the roadway at Brazzaville and Cairo. Transported home.

3:22 am – Pokémon players at Hoover Dam Park.

3:54 am – Batavia Rd. 9-1-1 call. Labored breathing on the line. GPS/tower rebid could not pinpoint exact origin of the call. Dispatcher stayed on the line with the person who never spoke. Officer knocked on multiple doors and checked multiple houses and yards. Dispatcher had the officers blow whistles and sirens asking if the caller could hear them to further try to locate the caller. Caller was not located.

3:38 pm – Window broken out of a vehicle and items stolen at Hoover Dam Park.

6:34 pm – Non-injury crash; SR3 & Dempsey Rd.

6:35 pm – Dog left in a car unattended at Sunbury Plaza. Gone on arrival.

Other Wednesday; 1 death investigation, 1 false alarm, 1 loud party (advised).

Thursday (early morning hours)

4:20 am – Reports of a female adult knocking on doors on Paris Blvd asking for a ride to a location in Columbus. Officers checking the area made contact with a resident returning from giving the woman a ride to her destination.
