Weekend Police Activity; July 22-23-24, 2016


1:14 pm – Customer dispute at a used car lot on Westerville Road.

1:41 pm – Teen home alone heard someone on the roof on Panama Dr. Roofers.

3:09 pm – Report of a trash can taken between 9am and 1:30 pm this date from Acapulco Dr.

9:55 pm – Jet ski on Hoover Reservoir. Subject advised that jet skis are not allowed.

10:28 pm – Injury crash; SR3 & I-270.

11:03 pm - Pokémon players in Blendon Central Cemetery.

11:36 pm – Report of a man and toddler walking down SR161 at Sunbury Rd. Area checked, not located.

Other Friday; 3 false alarms, 2 parking complaints, 1 threats, 1 juvenile complaint, 1 traffic complaint.


2:14 am – Report of two vehicles speeding and running stop signs in Sunbury Woods. BTPD Officers detained both vehicles on Purplefinch Ct.  One driver stated he was after the other vehicle because they had thrown an egg at his vehicle in Columbus and that when he caught up to them two subjects jumped out and ran. One juvenile subject returned to the scene. Columbus Police responded to the scene for the “egging”. Juvenile turned over to his parents.

8:43 am – Mail found scattered in a front yard on Cherokee Rose. The mail was from a residence in Westerville. Mail returned to the owner. WPD contacted.

9:46 am – Report of a male subject in a truck asking people for money on Buenos Aires Blvd. Area checked, not located.

3:39 pm - Non-injury crash; SR3 & I-270.

4:06 pm – Report of an adult male on a bicycle on I-270 at SR 161. Located and transported home. Advised not to bike on the interstate.

7:09 pm – Report of a solicitor on Caracas Dr. Located and advised.

Other Saturday; 1 domestic violence (arrest), 1 civil dispute, 1 domestic dispute.


12:06 am – Report of two suspicious vehicles on East Walnut St. Area checked, not located.

4:06 am - Doorbell “ring and run” on Thrasher Loop. Area checked, not located.

3:48 pm – Report of a temp tag stolen off of a vehicle on Abington Rd.

5:07 pm – Non-injury crash; SR3 & I-270.

5:33 pm – Suicide threat by overdose. Columbus Police got the call and asked BTPD to check an address. Address came back to a vacant lot on Kilbourne Ave. Area checked, no subject(s) located. CPD continued to speak to persons known to the subject trying to locate them.

5:46 pm – Multiple non-injury crashes; I-270 & SR161.

6:38 pm – Injury crash; SR161 & Buenos Aires Blvd.

10:13 pm – Report of a vehicle “keyed” on Vickers Dr.

11:15 pm – Noise complaint on Valley Quail North. Contacted loud gathering and told them to quiet down.
