Weekend Police Activity; August 27-28, 2016

Saturday (Heritage Day)

7-9:30 am – More Joy 5K Race through Huber Ridge.

10 am-2 pm – Blendon Senior Center Car Show.

1:24 pm – Caller cashed a check at a business at Sunbury Plaza and walked away from the counter without her cash. Returned to find it gone. Under investigation.

3-5 pm – Old fashioned baseball at Ridgewood Park.

6-8 pm – Summer Concert at Ridgewood Park.

6:32 pm – Report of a suspicious person at a business on Westerville Road. Man working on his car.

11:21 pm – Report of a suspicious car parked in the car wash on Executive Parkway. Made contact with a male & female subject sitting in the car talking.

Other Saturday; 2 false alarms, 1 neighbor dispute.

Sunday

2:24 am – Possible prowler on Minerva Avenue. House & area checked, nothing found.

3:05 am – Traffic stop, SR161. Male driver, age 41, arrested for OVI.

5:52 am – BTPD Officer checked an unoccupied suspicious car at BP Sunbury Plaza. Vehicle was stolen out of Columbus. CPD responded for recovery.

1:48 pm – Injury crash; Central College & Cubbage Rd.

3:08 pm – Customer dispute at a business at Sunbury Plaza. Resolved peacefully.

3:16 pm – Report of a dog locked in a vehicle at Sunbury Plaza. Dog located. Car running. Owner located & advised.

3:18 pm - Report of screaming on Paris Blvd. Officer located the source; man yelling at a dog.

Other Sunday; 1 assist other agency (OSHP w/drunk driver), 1 open door found, 1 false alarm, 2 traffic complaints, 1 medical issue, 1 stand-by for custody exchange, 1 lockout, 1 violation of protection order.

Monday (early morning hours)

2:31 am – Assist Westerville Police; Multiple vehicles broken into in the Hempstead Road/Autumn Meadows area.  WPD approached suspects who fled on foot. BTPD & WPD apprehended 2 of 3 suspects

Other; 4 open gates/garage doors/front door found.
