In Ohio, a person dies from a drug overdose every three hours. That’s eight people a day.
Not my problem? Odds are that you either know someone who has a drug problem, or you know someone who has a loved one who is dealing with a drug problem. Drug addiction is contributing to the rate of theft in our neighborhoods. You (and your kids) are in the car, almost every day, along with other drivers on the road who are impaired due to opiates and/or Rx medications that produce similar effects. If you think this is not your problem, you might want to think some more. On October 25th at 6:30pm we are going to have a very special meeting at the Blendon Township Senior Center. It will be special because we are going to stop talking about the problem...and start doing something about it. Please join us. John Belford. Chief of Police. Blendon Township Police Department.
Eight people a day! That means that a person in the Buckeye State is more likely to die from a drug overdose than in a vehicle crash.
