Weekend Police Activity; 23-24-25 September, 2016


9:05 am – Report of a broken window on a vacant house on Panama Dr. Worker responded and boarded it up.

10:05 am – Report of items stolen from Speedway (SR3 & Dempsey).

10:17 am – Irate customer broke items at a business on Morse Road. Customer returned and offered to pay for the items he broke.

1:28 pm – Suspicious vehicle on Bashaw Dr. Contact made with an adult and two juveniles hanging out in the woods. No violation.

3:13 pm – Report of a hit-skip to a parked vehicle overnight on Santiago Dr.

6:15 pm – Report of a homeless camp in a wooded area off of Westerville Road near Morse Road. Camp located. Residents advised to leave at property owner’s request.

9:42 pm – Male assaulting a female at Glengary Center. Two employees at a business intervened to assist the female. Male suspect assaulted one of the employees then fled on foot. Under investigation.

Other Friday; 1 juvenile complaint, 1 identity theft, 1 medical issue, 2 false alarms, 1 motorist assist (out of gas).


12:38 am – Report of a vehicle driving left of center. Area of Paris & Buenos Aires checked, not located.

1:02 am – Confrontation between customers at McDonald’s Sunbury Plaza. Gone on arrival.

3:36 am – Report of a suspicious white car with loud muffler on Panama Dr. Area checked, not located.

5:36 am – Male driver (age 34) asleep in a vehicle at SR161 & SR3. Arrested for OVI.

5:53 am – Report of a suspicious vehicle on the lot of a business at Sunbury Plaza. Located. Not stolen. Legally parked.

11:40 am - Report of a suspicious vehicle on Vienna Ct. Located. Not stolen. Legally parked.

12:08 pm – Hit-skip reported on Bolamo Court.

2:06 pm – Male subject on foot stated he was lost at Sunbury Plaza.  Given directions and a ride to a COTA bus stop.

2:28 pm - Report of solicitors on Makassar Dr. Located and advised to get a permit.

9:06 pm – Injury crash; Cooper & Rainier.

10:13 pm – Report of a suspicious male subject knocking on the door of a residence on Kilbourne Ave. Area checked, not located.

Other Saturday; 3 open garage doors found, 1 assist other agency (BAC), 1 assist other agency (prowler), 1 lockout, 2 traffic complaints, 2 parking complaints, 1 neighbor dispute.


2:23 am – Fight between two female adult subjects at McDonald’s Sunbury Plaza. Neither wanted to press assault charges. One (age 23) charged with disorderly conduct and public urination, and the other (age 34) was charged with OVI.

6:18 am – Report of a theft of lottery tickets at BP Sunbury Plaza. Officers responded and arrested a male subject (age 22) for felony theft.

9:47 am – Report that a food truck on Morse Road was broken into overnight.

5:28 pm – Non-injury crash; SR3 & SR161.

6:37 pm – Pitbull loose on Makassar Drive. Captured and returned to owner.

8:08 pm – Injury crash; Sunbury & Executive Parkway.

9:14 pm – Report of a prowler looking in the front window of a house on Manila Drive.  Caller states that the subject ran toward the elementary school. Male, white, red shirt, baseball cap. Area checked, not located.

9:40 pm - Prowler reported on Makassar. Described as a tall, high school age male who ran when the caller spotted him. Area checked, not located.

Other Sunday; 1 traffic complaint, 1 identity theft, 1 domestic dispute, 1 assist other agency (search for missing person, not located), 1 medical issue.

MONDAY (early morning hours)

4:37 am – Loud music from vehicle complaint on Valley Quail North. Located the Dispatch delivery driver and told him to turn it down.

5:40 am – Customer dispute at Speedway (SR3 & Dempsey Rd.) Resolved by Officer.

6:28 am – Injury crash; car vs deer on Smothers Road.

Other; 1 property recovered in the street and returned to owner, 3 open doors found, 1 assist other agency (alarm).
