Police Activity; Tuesday September 27, 2016

7 am – Report of two vehicles ransacked the night before on Dahlgreen Drive. Items stolen.

7 am – The vehicle that was stolen from Speedway (Morse & SR3) the previous shift, was recovered abandoned a few blocks away, about an hour after it was stolen.

9 am – Report of an item stolen from a vehicle on Makassar Drive overnight.

9:32 am – Non-injury crash; Sunbury & Valley Quail South.

9:47 am – Report of a vehicle rummaged through on Makassar Drive the previous night. Nothing stolen.

10:01 am – Report of a barking dog on Oslo Drive. Owner contacted and advised of the noise provisions of the Township Dog Ordinance.

10:53 am - Report of a vehicle rummaged through on Dahlgreen Drive the previous night. Nothing stolen.

1:30 pm – Report of a male, white subject, who pulled into the driveway of a residence in Minerva Park, jumped out and ran. Vehicle’s plate was reported stolen. Columbus Police advised that the vehicle matched the description out of a shooting that had just occurred on Tamarack Circle. Multiple agencies searched the area around Minerva Park for the suspect. Suspect not located. CPD later said the vehicle/suspect was not believed to be involved in the shooting.

4:29 pm – Report of a white car driving recklessly at Sunbury Plaza. Area checked, not located.

6:57 pm – Report of an aggressive dog that lunged at the caller’s dog on Madrid Dr. Officer located the dog & dog owner and advised of the control provisions of the Township Dog Ordinance.

10:08 pm – Report of a suspicious occupied vehicle on Jessamine Ct. Officer made contact with the driver who stated that he was homeless and living in his car. Officer advised him of other possible options and advised him to depart the area, which he did.

Other; 2 false alarms, 1 missing juvenile (located), 1 text harassment, 1 domestic dispute, 1 open garage door found.

Wednesday (early morning hours)

1:03 am – Officer observed two suspicious male subjects at Paris and Buenos Aires. Turned out to be residents walking home from Glengary Center.
