Holiday Weekend Police Activity; September 2-3-4-5, 2016


9:44 am – Caller left for work and did not know if garage door was closed. Asked BTPD to check. Checked. It was closed.

10:15 am – Stand-by while employee was terminated.

3:06 Report of a suspicious person sitting in a vehicle on Copenhagen Drive for over an hour. Area checked, not located.

3:16 pm – Park Ranger reported an intoxicated adult, couple at Hoover Dam Park. Called for a ride.

4:03 pm - Several teens in church lot on Paris Blvd. Advised to leave.

11:45 pm – Two male subjects in Hoover Dam Park after closing. Advised to leave.

Other Friday; 1 juvenile complaint, 1 motorist assist (pushed off road), 1 lockout, 1 domestic dispute, 1 false alarm.


12:18 am – Kitchen Fire on Kilbourne Road. No injuries.

1:41 am – Five adult panhandlers at Speedway (Morse & SR3). Advised to leave.

3 am – Several car doors found open at a business on Morse Rd. Unknown if any loss.

10:31 am - Report of parts stolen off of a vehicle on a repair lot on Westerville Rd.

11:31 am – Injury crash; SR3 & SR161.

7:37 pm – Third party report that a male punched a female in the face at Buenos Aires and Paris Blvd. Unable to locate the suspect, victim or the caller.

8:11 pm – Report of a bike in traffic going the wrong way on Sunbury Road. Area checked, not located.

Other Saturday; 1 open garage door found, 4 false alarms, 1 domestic dispute, 1 loud music complaint, 1 lockout, 1 parking complaint, 2 stand-by for custody, 1 assist other agency (notification).


2:20 am – Hit skip crash; Caller stated that a vehicle crashed into another vehicle and fled the scene at SR161 & Buenos Aires. No vehicles at the scene. Area checked. Not located and victim did not call police.

4:07 am – Report of shoplifters at Speedway (Morse & SR3). Gone on arrival. Area checked. Not located.

10:19 am – Westerville Police arrested a subject with a BTPD Warrant. BTPD transported.

11:35 am – Non-injury crash; SR161 & SR3.

12:30 pm – Report of a barking dog on Valley Quail South. Located. Dog needed water. Babysitter not letting the dog in the house. Officer got water for dog and it quit barking.

2:59 pm – Dog left in a vehicle at Sunbury Plaza. Animal Control responded and handled the situation.

Other Sunday; 2 false alarms, 1 domestic dispute, 1 stand-by for custody.

Monday (Labor Day)

1:11 am – Checked vehicles in the church lot on Dempsey. Late night meeting.

7:51 am – Woman living in a car at a business on Morse Road. Owner gave temporary permission.

8:39 pm – Caller reports that juveniles in a silver car yelled and threw cans in the caller’s yard.
